From Soil to Sip

Hops Crafted for the Perfect Pour!

At Mauka Living Farms, our mission is to cultivate premium hops with a deep respect for the land, sustainability, and the craft brewing community. We are committed to growing high-quality, chemical-free hops using regenerative farming practices that nurture the soil, support biodiversity, and produce exceptional flavor and aroma. By partnering with local brewers and homebrewers alike, we strive to bring fresh, sustainably grown hops from our fields to your brew, ensuring every pint tells a story of quality, care, and passion for the craft.

Our Story

For Brewers, By Nature-Lovers

When Matt and I bought our first property with our loyal dog, Mauka, we knew we had found something special. The butte, evergreen trees, and crisp air called to us, sparking a love for the land that grew with every flower and garden bed we planted. What started as a passion for growing our own food soon blossomed into a bigger dream—cultivating hops right at home.

Inspired by our love of craft beer and a desire to work in harmony with nature, we set out to turn our little slice of paradise into a thriving hop farm, where every vine tells a story of dedication, sustainability, and a deep-rooted connection to the land.

HOPS

What We Grow

We’re currently cultivating select varieties of hops, grown without chemicals and with the utmost attention to flavor and farming integrity.

Cascade

The Classic Hop Behind Iconic Brews

Cascade is one of the most iconic and widely used hop varieties in the world, especially in American craft brewing. Known for its floral, citrusy, and grapefruit-like aroma, it also carries subtle spicy and piney undertones. Cascade’s balanced bitterness and bright character make it ideal for Pale Ales and IPAs. It performs beautifully in late additions, dry hopping, and even single-hop recipes—making it a true staple in the brewing world.

Centennial

A Bold Favorite for Hop-Forward Brews

Centennial is often called “Super Cascade” for its similar but more intense flavor profile. It delivers a bold mix of lemon, orange peel, pine, and floral notes, with a clean, assertive bitterness and higher alpha acids. Centennial is a go-to for West Coast IPAs, Imperial IPAs, and Pale Ales, performing well in every stage of brewing—from bittering to dry hopping—making it a versatile and powerful hop for those who love a hop-forward brew.
